Irish Brown Bread

This is the beloved traditional brown bread of Ireland, recreated here at The Celtic Tea Shoppe for your eating pleasure! We make it with whole wheat flour, wheat germ, fresh buttermilk, and no machinery so it's all made by hand. Enjoy it toasted with Irish butter and marmalade, warmed with a cup of your favorite soup, or as an appetizer with butter and smoked salmon. It's versatile and tasty! Each one is hand made and formed, and is approximately 6" diameter and 15 oz. before baking.
