Rose Congou Emperor Tea - loose leaf tea by the ounce

This tea is layered 5 times with rose petals during processing, which give the tea a delicate and ethereal rose fragrance and taste. If you love iced tea, the rose fragrance is enhanced when cold. (Approximately 16 servings per ounce, using the measurements for brewing below.) Sold by the ounce.

Incidentally, congou tea was one of the teas thrown overboard by the Boston Tea Party. Perhaps if it had been scented with real roses such as this tea, it might not have made it into the harbor!

Brewing instructions: 1-2 tsp. per 8 oz. cup • 200°F • 3-5 min. brew
